Ethan stood silently beside the broken pieces of wood scattered across the yard. He had spent days building that ramp with his own hands, using the money he had saved for something he had wanted for months. Caleb sat on the porch again, exactly where he had always been before. He had come to visit that morning after hearing what Ethan had done for Caleb.

Before the day ended, trucks arrived carrying materials, workers, and tools. Not one ramp was built that week, but several across the neighborhood and nearby communities. Ethan stood there speechless as Caleb rolled down a brand-new ramp built stronger than before. Ethan thought he had only helped one boy play outside.
